Melanie von Markdorf is a beautiful 16 month old German Shepherd.  She is an energetic, friendly girl who is housetrained and good with children.  She is also good on the leash.  Melanie has the sweetest personality.  In the play yard she romps about with other dogs and then takes a time-out to run up and give affection to any humans over-seeing the play group.  This friendly beauty likes to step into the wading pool to cool off on hot days, occasionally drinking some of the pool water if there is a crowd at the water bowl.   Described as a sweetheart, Melanie sometimes forgets that she is too big to be a lap dog.  She wants to cuddle with you.  Melanie sometimes jumps when excited so her new owner should take advantage of a free, one-hour group class with professional dog trainer Tim Williams to learn how to correct this tendency.  There should be no cats in Melanie's new home.
